While we move through summer 2021, there is some uncertainty concerning the way Rotary can continue to facilitate the connections between people that Rotary members valued previously. Though the mantra of hands face space' is sure to continue to be a component of our routine it is apparent that confidence is building and face-to-face reconnections are being made. But Rotary has changed. The months that will lead up to summer 2021 there is still uncertainty about how we will provide service to the community that includes the valued human connection enjoyed by Rotary previous members. Even though the "hands in space" principle is certain to become part of regular routine at our club There's no doubt that there is a feeling of trust is developing and more people make face-to-face connections. Rotary is, however, having developed. Rotary has changed. As we continue to use our online meetings for business purposes and social interactions, we've brought back the concept of the social aspect and services using a safe face-to-face form. New possibilities are paired with our best pre-pandemic practices to create a new and exciting future for Rotary. It's an encouraging thing to hear that 75 percent of Rotary clubs intend to keep their "business regular" actions. In the summer months the majority of Rotary members have been out with their families and friends, working on various projects including river and beach tidy-ups and trash pick-ups. It's amazing to observe how members of our club are able to come up with creative ways to solve certain of the most challenging challenges. I'm grateful to be a part of the team.
