Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as a news reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV. Later, she worked at WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. O'Dell's stories in Charleston about the police's leniency regarding DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to examine. It led to state authorities issuing more strict guidelines in these cases.
